Huawei New Triple Camera Smartphone

Huwaei is finally stepping up their game by releasing the world’s first triple-rear camera on a smartphone, which uses an artificial intelligence (AI) to help each user in taking their favorite photos! Now that’s quite impressive for a release!

The Chinese tech-giant is looking to offer a device that competes with the likes of the iPhone X and Samsung’s recently-released Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus but at a lower price.

Apple and Samsung both focused heavily on the camera which continues to be a strong area where companies can differentiate their devices from each other, in a sea of very similar looking phones nowadays.

That’s why Huawei took this as an opportunity to shine through the competition by gaining its ideal design from other big-time companies.

In a stunning launch event in Paris last week, Huawei’s CEO Richard Yu presented three of the company’s most highly anticipated smartphones: Huawei P20, Huawei P20 Lite, and Huawei P20 Pro.

The company, which has sold 153 million smartphones in 2017, also presented a limited edition Porsche Design version of the new device called Mate RS.

The cameras of the new stylish-looking devices have been tested by DxOMark, a leading source of independent image measurement and evaluation of image quality for smart-phone cameras since 2008.

The P20 and the P20 Pro scored higher than the main cameras on the Google Pixel 2, Apple’s iPhone X and Samsung’s Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus.

Once again, Huawei P20 is a 5.8-inch smartphone with an edge-to-edge screen that promises a little ‘more screen than the iPhone X and Samsung Galaxy S9.

The smartphone also has a more powerful battery than its competitors, despite its thinner structure. It has a dual camera with 12 and 20-megapixel sensors (color and black and white).

Specs and Camera

The smartphone can take pictures in low light conditions without using flash or a tripod that uses exposures of up to six seconds to get enough light.

The company expects that the addition, as well as its intelligent artificial intelligence system, to help users take professional-quality photographs without the need for a large camera.

The AI system adjusts camera settings to prevent blur and smudging that often affect photographers who use this manual technique.

As other aspects of smartphone hardware have become increasingly similar, many manufacturers are turning to unique camera systems to attract consumers.

The P20 Pro series houses the Huawei’s Kirin 970 processor, which lets you calculate artificial intelligence on the phone and in the cloud, greatly increasing the speed and processing power.

This is the same processor presented in Huawei Mate 10 Pro and is announced as the first mobile processor in the world that has a “neuronal processing unit”.

The device’s camera is based on three separate sensors, with a 40-megapixel color sensor, a 20-megapixel black and white sensor and an 8-megapixel sensor for 3x optical zoom (10x digital zoom).

The camera also has a light sensitivity of up to “102400 ISO”, equivalent to digital SLR cameras such as the Canon 5D Mark IV which captures almost similar effects. This should help the camera take unprecedented low-quality photos for a smartphone.

As for the video, the device can record slow-motion movies up to 960 frames per second. As a result, it’s no surprise that the Huawei P20 Pro comes to the fore in the quality of DxOMark’s image quality, both for photo and video quality.

Release Date and Color

The P20 Pro is the flagship device among the three new phones that the company announced at an event in Paris, where P20 and P20 Lite were also presented.

The gadgets will be available for UK customers in April, but Huawei has confirmed that they won’t be sold in the United States.

The tech-giant will hope that the latest device can help them overcome his recent problems in the United States.

Huawei should have sold its Mate 10 Pro through AT&T in the United States, but eventually, the agreement failed and intelligence officials warned consumers not to buy any devices made by the company.

In response to a CNBC application in February, Yu said that Huawei’s competitors used the policy to expel society from the United States.

The P20 is available in a range of four colors: Twilight, Pink Gold, Black and Midnight Blue.

Design

The screen is almost bezel-less, with ultra-thin edges and a small fingerprint sensor located at the bottom of the device.

While many competing phones are equipped with two rear cameras, the P20 Pro and the P20 are equipped with monochromatic, color and telephoto lenses on the rear panels.

The triple lens system, consisting of 40MP, 20MP, and 8MP sensors, in the P20 Pro, has the highest total number of pixels of any smartphone available on the market.

Battery

One of the most convenient features of this smartphone is its remarkable battery life.

You charge 100% in less than an hour and it will last up to the biggest phone addict for at least a whole day.

The battery capacity is around 4,000 mAh.

Even its unlocking system is quite brilliant for its function. Just by looking at the screen with your face, the AI will recognize you and will automatically unlock your phone for you.

Price

The phones will be available in four colors, priced at €649 for Huawei P20 or €899 for Huawei P20 Pro. The 512GB model created in collaboration with Porsche will be available for €2,095.
